A new version of Co OPERATION: MultiTurn is ready for you to play! 🎉

The biggest change is an improvement to our online networking which allows the host and guest players to connect to a game session from their phone (or any device with a web browser). Our lead programmer and co-founder, Rupert, has been working hard on this. As you probably know, the online networking part of game dev is complicated and difficult to get working well so we’re really glad to have this cool update working :)

V0.1.23 change log:

• The game controls for the host and for guests will now automatically reconnect to the game in the following conditions:
  • 💤Your phone goes to sleep and disconnects.
  • 📲You navigate to a different app on your phone and then come back to the browser and notice you disconnected.
  • 💻You (accidentally?) close the browser window and it disconnects, so you reopen the browser and navigate to our URL again.
  • 🖥️You (accidentally?) refresh your browser tab which disconnects you from the game.

• 🔊Default master volume reduced to 50% in case any players have their speakers turned up too high.
• ✉️The in-game electronic display boards display a different message for each of the first five levels. (They’re hints on what to do for new players)
• 👪 Adjustments to levels 2 and 3 in 3-player mode to make them more fun and also quicker to complete (as they’re tutorial levels)
• 🐛Bug fix: Level names display correctly

Of course, there are still some more improvements to be made and these will come with time.

In other news, a group of students from Plymouth, UK made the first ever mod for Co OPERATION! You can download it from Mod DB.
